Some of my favourite gadgets ....

• Slimdevices (now Logitech) Squeezebox - A life changing musical experience! Well it has certainly revolutionized my music listening. Gone are all those racks of CDs and huge stacks of intimidating black hifi gear. All replaced by a small box  ( and amp and speakers of course ). All my music is now on a hard disk attached to another very small PC hidden away. So now I can play any of my many CDs or tracks or playlists or automated playlists ( e.g selected by genre ) or radio stations or even podcasts, all at the touch of the remote. I have even brought a second Squeezebox for my bedroom where it functions as an alarm clock as well as the usual music duties. Everyone should have one of these - its that good!

• Sony PRS-505 eReader - Would be fantastic if only the cost of eBooks were a lot more competitive. How can they justify charging as much for an ebook download as for a Hardback?
